Atletico Madrid bound for Australia with LaLiga World

Atletico Madrid take part in the LaLiga World project once again, where they continue to showcase the qualities of LaLiga and Spanish clubs on the international stage. This time round, the Rojiblancos will be enjoying an adventure in Melbourne (Australia).

After heading down under, Diego Simeone's men – who last season were runners-up in the UEFA Champions League and finished third in LaLiga – will take on Tottenham Hotspur on 29 July in the International Champions Cup before meeting the Melbourne Victory in a friendly two days later.

This is the third straight year in which Atletico have been involved in this major international initiative run by LaLiga. In 2014, they travelled to the United States, Mexico and Turkey, while last year they visited China and Japan.
