Atletico Madrid and Eskilstuna United set to showcase women's football

Lola Romero, the chairwoman of the Madrid-based club, backed by Pedro Malabia, the head of women's football at LaLiga, attended an event which also featured Annika Grals, the president of EFD, the Swedish women's league; Anna Linnakallio, the chairwoman of Eskilstuna United; Viktor Ericsson, the director of football of the Swedish club; and Mona Kanaan, the Eskilstuna sports councillor.

LaLiga and Atletico Madrid delivered a commemorative plaque to the club, the president of the Swedish women's league and the Swedish city's sports councillor. "We've really felt at home. The outcome of LaLiga Women is extremely positive," assured Lola Romero, the chairwomen of the Spanish club.

At 19:00 CET tomorrow, Atletico Madrid Women take on Eskilstuna United at the Tunavallen stadium, in what will be their final game on Swedish soil to round off a historic tour.
