Diego Simeone's charges will be desperate to bounce back from their bruising European defeat and to capitalise on Sevilla's slip-up against Real Sociedad.

Team News:

- Atletico Madrid: Augusto Fernandez, Sime Vrsaljko, Juanfran and Jose Maria Gimenez (all injured); Stefan Savic (suspended)

- SD Eibar: Ander Capa, Fran Rico, Antonio Luna and Nano Mesa (all injured)

Match Facts:

Atletico Madrid (3rd, 71 pts):

- The 1-0 defeat to Villarreal CF at the Vicente Calderon two matchdays ago was Atletico's first reverse in five home games and they had won the previous four. In total, Diego Simeone's side have collected 12 victories, two draws and just three defeats in their 17 LaLiga Santander fixtures on their own patch this term.

- Los Rojiblancos have triumphed in all five of their LaLiga Santander meetings with Eibar to date, scoring at least twice in each of those encounters. They will be gunning to continue that run this weekend and to tighten their grip on third spot in the process, particularly after Sevilla FC dropped points against Real Sociedad.

Eibar (8th, 54 pts):

- The Basques haven't conceded in either of their last two matches. If they can keep Atletico at bay here, this will set a new club record of three consecutive clean sheets in the top flight.

- Jose Luis Mendilibar's men still have the faintest hope of qualifying for Europe. To keep their slim chances alive, Eibar will have to win at the Calderon for the very first time.
