The three LaLiga Santander teams in the UEFA Europa League 2016/17 round of 32, found out their opponents at the draw in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday.
Athletic Club, who finished second in their group, take on APOEL FC of Cyprus as they seek a return to the final which they last achieved in 2012.
Villarreal CF, who also finished second in their group, reached the semi-finals last year and in their bid to go a step further this time round they have to get past Italian giants AS Roma.
RC Celta de Vigo, another second-place finisher, drew a Champions League regular and former Europa League winner (2009) Shakhtar Donetsk. Celta last competed in the competition ten years ago when they reached the round of 16 before falling to Werder Bremen.
The games will be played on February 16, with the return legs on February 23.
