Córdoba CF and SD Eibar drew 1-1 in the first game of Matchday 19 in
the Liga BBVA. The result sees the Andalusian outfit move on to 18 points for the
season, while the Basque side stay eighth, on 27 points.
The match got off to a dream start for the hosts, who took the lead in
record time. Barely 10 seconds were on the clock when Florin Andone made it 1-0, scoring the fastest goal of the 2014-15 Liga BBVA season after controlling the ball with his chest and firing in at the far post. The hosts went on to dominate the first half, keeping Eibar at bay and creating danger through the speed of Fede Cartabia, Nabil Ghilas and Bebé.
The second half began with Eduard Campabadal getting sent off for the hosts and shortly afterwards Federico Piovaccari was dismissed for Eibar. The visiting coach Gaizka Garitano then brought on Mikel Arruabarrena in search of an equaliser and his gamble paid off. Just moments after coming on, the forward took advantage of a pass from Saúl
Berjón to beat Juan Carlos and level the score. Córdoba spent the remainder of the game laying siege to Eibar's area but Miroslav Djukic's side could not find a winner.
