LaLiga World is an important project that helps teams get in shape before the start of the season, but it also serves to expand the brand image of Spanish clubs throughout the world.
Francesc Arnau, ex-LaLiga player and current sporting director at Malaga, is more than qualified to offer an opinion on this matter. He took in every element of the Andalusians’ tour of Germany over the course of an exciting weekend: "The LaLiga World project is great, because it strengthens both the club and the league. Everything is much easier when done together."
The creation of a young and exciting Malaga side this year has depended a great deal on the daily work by Arnau in his seeking out potential signings and his organisational capabilities.
"We have put together a team that can really grow, both on an individual level and on a collective one. Juande Ramos is a fantastic coach and I’m certain that he’ll help us achieve our objectives," explained Arnau.
Arnau also weighed up the evolution of LaLiga over the last few years. "Thanks to the good work from the league, the clubs are growing as one, and this is very important in order to be able to compete with other leagues."
Lastly, Malaga’s sporting director made a point of mentioning the great treatment that he has always received from the club’s fans, such as in 2011 when he decided to hang up his boots: "It was an amazing send-off because of all the love I felt from the fans here in Malaga, after playing for 10 years in the first team."
