On the 27th matchday of the Liga BBVA the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium hosts the clash between UD Almería and Sevilla FC.
Almería go into this match with the knowledge that they are unbeaten at home for five games, claiming eleven points. But they will also be aware that they need to win to move away from the relegation zone. Francisco Rodríguez has Fernando Soriano back for this match, in which Julián Cuesta, Nélson Augusto, Marcelo Silva and Óscar Díaz will be absent. The Almería manager explained that “the three points are very important because in addition to keeping us on the right track they will widen the gap with our closest challengers”.
Sevilla, meanwhile, go to Almería on the ascendancy. The hispalenses have claimed seven points from the last nine and have positioned themselves five points from the European qualification zone. However, Unai Emery did not want to talk about objectives: “The reality is match to match, and there’s no thinking beyond that”, and he added: “Experience tells me that the future in football is today”. Vicente Iborra and Vitolo are recalled, while Alberto Moreno and Federico Fazio, through suspension, and Nico Pareja, Stéphane M’Bia and Denis Cheryshev, though injury, will miss the game.
