Eibar and Recreativo de Huelva were held to a 0-0 draw on matchday 36 of the Liga Adelante season. The point sees the home side close the gap on Deportivo de La Coruña, who suffered a 0-3 defeat to Ponferradina.
The first half was played with a lot of intensity but neither side was able to create any real chances to take the lead. Eibar’s Jota Peleteiro and his counterpart in midfield, Miguel Linares, were the two danger men before the break, but both were unable to find the mark and it remained scoreless at the half time whistle.
Eibar came out the stronger for the second half although the away side looked dangerous on the break. Ander Capa and Jota, once again, had the best chances to put the Basques in front early on after the restart. The fans in Ipurua were at full voice but the match became quite flat towards the end and finished 0-0.
