Team News:

D. Alaves: Einar Galilea, Edgar Mendez and Alexis (all injured); Deyverson (suspended)

Valencia CF: Nani, Rodrigo, Santi Mina and Martin Montoya (all injured)

Match Facts:

Alaves (11th, 30 pts)

- The head-to-head does not bode well for the Basques, who haven't won any of their last seven top-flight games at home to Valencia (D3 L4) and failed to score in four of those matches.

- Mauricio Pellegrino's happy travellers are eager to start replicating their strong away form on home turf. Alaves have only recorded one victory in their last eight LaLiga Santander matches at Mendizorroza (D4 L3), which was when they beat Real Betis 1-0 in December 2016.

Valencia (14th, 26 pts)

- Los Che head to Vitoria brimming with confidence after collecting seven points from the last nine available. After drawing with Betis at the Benito Villamarin, they have chalked up two morale-boosting wins at Mestalla, defeating Athletic Club 2-0 and Real Madrid 2-1.

- Simone Zaza was on the scoresheet in both of those victories. He is the fifth Italian player to find the net for Valencia in LaLiga this century after Emiliano Moretti, Bernardo Corradi, Stefano Fiore and Marco Di Vaio.
