At. Osasuna 1-1 Nastic

Two of the promotion candidates demonstrated why they are up there. The game also showed how contended the Liga Adelante is. Even points after De la Espada put the away team in front from the penalty spot and Pablo Marti, in his own goal, equalized. Osasuna and Nastic remain in fifth and sixth position respectively.

D. Alaves 3-0 Bilbao Athletic

The Liga Adelante leader didn’t give way in their first game of 2016. Sergio Mora, Juli and Manu Garcia, the latest from the penalty spot, gave the Basque team victory. This win leaves the away team up top another week and their rival drop to the last position.

Elche CF 1-1 RCD Mallorca

Even points at Martinez Valero where, for another week, Sergio Leon scored the home goal. In the second half, Armando scored the 1-1 in his own goal. With this draw, Elche are further away from promotion positions while Mallorca stay in the 18th spot.

Cordoba CF 1-2 CD Mirandes

Second consecutive defeat for Cordoba, who were unable to come back in a game where they were losing after only seven minutes. Nestor put CD Mirandes in front and Lago Junior, from a penalty kick, extended the lead. Two minutes later Xisco scored the 1-2, but the score would remain untouched for the rest of the game. Despite the loss, Cordoba maintain the second position of the Liga Adelante while Mirandes come closer to play-off spots.

UD Almeria 2-1 UE Llagostera

It was a key match in the fight for saving the category. Almeria secured the three points in order to catch UE Llagostera with 17 points and get out of the last position in the league. The game was decided in the ten minutes following the break. Quique put the home team in front, Querol drew and Fatau gave Juegos del Mediterraneo joy securing the three points.

CD Leganes 1-1 R. Oviedo

We saw a great game at Butarque, exciting until the end. Leganes got ahead through Omar in the first half, but when it looked like Oviedo had no chance, Pablo Insua cleared the ball from inside his goal, unable to save the equalizer. Even points, third place for R.Oviedo and eighth for Leganes.

CD Lugo 2-3 CD Numancia

It was an afternoon of strong emotions for the supporters of both teams, who watched an outstanding game from start to finish. Pedraza just needed five minutes to open the score. Jonathan Pereira put his team ahead with two goals, but it would be Numancia who would have the final say, taking the three points through Alex Alegria and Pablo Valcarce.

Albacete B. 2-2 SD Ponferradina

It was another exciting fixture at Carlos Belmonte which ended with even points. The home side was ahead on the score twice and both times SD Ponferradina found a reply. Djorjevic neutralized the goal Jason had scored seven minutes earlier, while Berrocal would equalize Samu’s goal in the final minutes.

Real Zaragoza 3-3 SD Huesca

The Aragon derby couldn’t have been more exciting. Since 2008 both teams hadn’t played each other. Zaragoza got ahead through Angel just before the break and the five following goals would come in the second half. Fran Merida and Hector Figueroa turned the tables, but Otuño equalized. The home side was ahead again with Diamanka’s goal, only for Carlos David to score the final 3-3 during stoppage time. Drawing debut for Zaragoza’s new manager Luis Carillo.

CD Tenerife 1-2 AD Alcorcon

AD Alcorcon didn’t give way against CD Tenerife at Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopes. Oscar Plano and David Rodriguez, top goal scorers for their team, were once again the men in charge of the goals. Lozano reduced the difference but it was too late. Second consecutive defeat for Marti’s team and second consecutive victory for Lopez Muñiz’s men.

Girona FC 1-0 R. Valladolid CF

Jairo’s goal just after halftime was enough to take the three points and bring some calmness to Girona, who needed it to get away from relegation places. Valladolid end their two victory streak and are only one spot ahead of Girona.
