Agirretxe rescues Real Sociedad once again at Coliseum

Balanced first half

Parity was dominant in the first half. Both teams fought to open the score in the first 45 minutes, but neither were able to create real danger against their rival. The clearest chance came for the away side, with a shot from Carlos Vela that Guaita sent to corner kick with a full length save.

Sarabia, like a '9'

It was in the first minute of the resumption when the score moved in Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Juan Rodriguez acted as wing and sent a cross into the box which Pablo Sarabia put at the back of the net with a fierce header. Actually, this is the second header scored by the Madrid midfielder this season.

Saviour Guaita

The Getafe goalkeeper had some outstanding saves which kept his team alive. One of them was to clear Agirretxe’s shot on the goal line when the team from Madrid were winning 1-0 and, in the final minutes, he had another decisive save to stop the Basque’s second goal from a strike by Jonathas.

Agirretxe is still on streak

The forward from Usurbil is going through a sweet moment. At Coliseum he showed it again scoring the final 1-1, a goal that was useful in order to add another point and extend his personal goal scoring to 12. Last week he was already Real Sociedad’s hero with his two goals against Eibar.

Eusebio keeps bringing in results for La Real

Since he took over the Basque’s bench, Eusebio Sacristan has only been defeated once. It was against FC Barcelona. Apart from that slip, the manager from Valladolid has scored seven points with two victories and a draw in four matches.
