Team News:
- Valencia CF: Nani (injured)
- FC Barcelona: Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Jasper Cillessen (all injured)
Match Facts:
Valencia (14th, 9 pts):
- Having kicked off his reign by overseeing a return to winning ways last weekend, now new boss Cesare Prandelli will be seeking a similar start in his maiden game in the Mestalla dugout. Los Che are in need of some home comforts, having lost three and won just one of their four fixtures on their own patch to date, and it doesn't get much better than overcoming the champions.

- Valencia will be looking to Mario Suarez to keep up his excellent performances and continue weighing in with goals. The midfielder, who is on loan from Watford, is currently his team's top scorer, having netted three times in his six league appearances this term.
Barcelona (4th, 16 pts):
- With their prolific exploits on their travels – they have averaged 3.85 goals a game in their last seven league matches on the road, in which they have notched a total of 27 times –, the Catalans will fancy their chances of hitting the target on Saturday afternoon. All the more so now that Lionel Messi is back and firing, as Valencia are among the Argentine's favourite victims: the diminutive forward boasts 17 goals in 20 LaLiga Santander encounters with Los Che.
- On the other hand, Luis Enrique's managerial results at Mestalla have been a mixed bag. The 46-year-old has recorded a win, a draw and a defeat apiece from his three league trips to the stadium as a coach.
