Málaga CF and RC Deportivo drew 1-1 in matchday 33 of Liga BBVA. The result leaves Málaga in seventh on 47 points while Deportivo move to 29, and for the time being move out of the relegation zone.
The game started with chances for both sides. After only eight minutes Juanmi hit the post, while Deportivo forced Carlos Kameni into action. After 25 minutes the Cameroon international prevented Lucas Pérez from opening the scoring after a quick break. On the verge of half time, Weligton went close for the home side.
In the second half, both sides carried on where they left off, and in the 47th minute, Javi Gracia's team went ahead after Nourredine Amrabat's effort found a way past Fabricio Agosto. The visitors did not give up, and after conceding they came to life. On the hour mark they levelled things up after Oriol Riera headed in a Lucas Pérez free kick. The Galician then hit the inside of the post and the ball rolled along the line as both sides sought a winner, however it was not to be. In added time Fabricio produced a top drawer save to keep the scores level.
