CF Villarreal took the three points at Nuevo Los Carmenes in Liga BBVA Matchday 3 after winning 1-3 over Granada CF in a clash in which Manu Trigueros, Cédric Bakambu and Samu Garcia scored for the "Yellow Submarine", and Fran Rico, for the Andalusian side.
Alternate domain in the first half
Although it was Granada who took control of the match during the first 20 minutes, were Marcelino García Toral's men whom took over the game in the final minutes of the first half.
A different script in the second half
Goals came after the break thanks to the nerve of the visitor attacking line, which read perfectly the clash and took the lead, first, by Manu Trigueros and later, from Cédric Bakambu.

High pressing and fight in the box
Samu Castillejo put the team on his back and carried all the danger from his side to the "Nazarí" box, where Roberto Soldado and Bakambu waited the crosses from the Malaga’s attacker. In the second half, the high pressing exerted by the "Amarillos" to the Andalusian defense caused two identical mistakes that led to Villarreal goals.
Crucial Fran Rico entry
After a goalless first half and having received up to two in the second, Granada did not give up and looked for a reward that finally arrived in the Portonovo midfielder boots. His entry on the field injected encouragement to the men of Jose Manuel Sandoval and transformed the match in the final minutes.
Long-awaited debuts
Galician footballer replaced Nahuel in the 58th minute and played his first minutes as Villarreal player. He brought freshness and creativity from a side of the field on which the team from Castellon had left too many spaces. In the 80th minute, Adrián López entered for Bakambu and debuted with the yellow shirt.
