Levante UD and Córdoba CF will face off on Tuesday on matchday 34 of the Liga BBVA. Los granotas, who are in fifteenth and are three points clear of the relegation zone, will look to keep up their good recent form and take one more step towards safety. To do so, they will have to see off an Andalusian outfit who come into the clash bottom of the table, and for whom only a victory will do if they are to avoid moving further away from survival.
Team news
Hosts Levante will be without Toño García, who serves a one-match suspension for accumulated yellow cards. For the visitors, Florin Andone misses out for the same reason, while Iago Bouzón is injured.
Views from the dugout
"It's a very important game, and we have to approach it in the right way. It's a difficult match in all respects: because of what's at stake and because Córdoba are proving themselves to be quite a spirited team away from home", declared Levante coach Lucas Alcaraz.
Meanwhile, Córdoba boss José Antonio Romero stated that his side's opponents show "a lot of perseverance" and "are very strong on their own ground and have a very clear idea of everything they want to do".
