RC Celta and Valencia CF drew 1-1 on matchday 18 of Liga BBVA. Eduardo Berizzo's side managed to end their run of six consecutive defeats, while Los Ché are now five unbeaten.
The home side were extremely organised from the off, and enjoyed the early running, however they missed the chance to go ahead on 27' after the referee gave a penalty for a foul by Otamendi on Charles. However, Diego Alves was equal to Fabián Orellana's effort from the spot. The save gave Nuno's side added impetus, and Rodrigo put them ahead on the verge of half time.

From then on, the home side pushed on in search of the three points in front of their home fans, however the score remained 1-1 and the points were shared.
