- The Madrid-based club was founded in 1975 following a merger between CD San Esteban and AD Fuenlabrada. This was the brainchild of the city's then-mayor, Regino Beneitez, who believed that it made sense to form a single team which would benefit from greater funding.
- CF Fuenlabrada have played their home games at the Estadio Fernando Torres since 2011. The stadium name is a tribute to the local lad done good. Up until that point, La Aldehuela had hosted the team's games.
- Amongst those to have plied their trade for Fuenla are David Barral, Jose Luis Morales, Cata Diaz and Sergio Pachón.
- The club mascot is a cockerel by the name of Kiriko.
- The 2019/20 season will be the club's first in the professional ranks. Prior to securing promotion to LaLiga 1|2|3, the Madrilenians spent 18 seasons in Segunda Division B (the third tier) and 14 campaigns in Tercera (the fourth rung).
