- Griezmann did not find an easy way to play in a professional club. During his childhood he tested with several French clubs, which ruled out signing due to his physical characteristics.
- Especially painful for the Atlético player was Olympique Lyon´s rejection, the team he supported. The club declined a move due to his small stature.
