The first stage of the LaLiga Global Network, the project led by LaLiga in partnership with Banco Santander and Universia, is drawing to a close with the 29 November application deadline fast approaching. Despite being open for just two weeks, the process has exceeded all expectations. Aimed at continuing LaLiga's global expansion process and generating employment in Spain, LaLiga Global Network has not only rallied Spanish youngsters, but those all around the world, and to date applications from 127 countries have been received at www.laligaglobalnetwork.es.

With applications still coming in, 10,000 candidates have already applied to be one of the 60 chosen few who could benefit from the exclusive training offered by LaLiga professionals. This is a first step towards becoming one of just 40 youngsters chosen to represent the organisation in strategic countries, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a professional placement which will expand their career horizons.

Beyond Spain's borders, the LaLiga Global Network has generated the most interest in the United Kingdom, Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Brazil, Germany, France, Argentina and Peru. Just a week ago, the percentage of overseas applicants was 15%, but this has now reached 18%, or 1,500. Enthusiasm for LaLiga knows no borders.

Through this selection process, some of the most talented youngsters in the world will compete to try and get a unique training opportunity in LaLiga departments such as Legal, Marketing, Brand Activation, Innovation and New Technologies, Economic Control, Communication and Audiovisual, to name a few. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is free for those selected, allowing the participants to take on this challenge offered by LaLiga free from any financial constraints, while being able to enhance their CV and improve their employability.

The end of the first stage of the LaLiga Global Network project is getting closer and www.laligaglobalnetwork.es will continue to accept applications until 29 November. After this date, face-to-face interviews will take place in Seville (6 December), Barcelona (8 December), Santander (10 December, Valencia (17 December) and Madrid (18 December). LaLiga Global Network, one of the most exciting projects ever undertaken by LaLiga, carries on making waves.
