FC Barcelona go into the first Catalan derby of the season having seemed to regain the form of the early stages and putting together a very dangerous team. They face a historic rival, RCD Espanyol, who will attempt to claim a victory at the Camp Nou for the first time since the 2008/09 season.
Team news
Luis Enrique will be without Vermaelen, who recently underwent surgery on the semitendinosus muscle in his right leg. The Blanquiazules will be unable to call on Paco Montañés, a footballer who played for the Azulgranas and will be unavailable for the game due to muscle problems.

For the home side, Barcelona's Asturian manager, who knows what playing in this kind of clash means, said: "Derbies are nice matches". The Blanquiazules goalkeeper, Kiko Casilla, is playing his third derby, and his dream is to claim the three points at the Azulgranas' ground: "Winning at the Camp Nou, in the derby, would be one of the nicest things I could experience".
