Granadilla Egatesa 4-0 Athletic Club

This encounter promised to be one of the most attractive contests across Matchday 25 and ultimately it was Granadilla who took the spoils in an emphatic triumph. This win saw Toni Ayala's charges get the better of a direct rival in the hunt for a Copa de la Reina spot and cut the gap on the defending champions to three points.

The islanders got their noses in front very early on here, with Sara Tui making the breakthrough courtesy of a fine volleyed effort on 13'. Just four minutes later, Virginia Garcia (Virgy) swept home a second to put the hosts firmly in command. After the break, Ayano Dozono sealed the deal, before Virgy slotted home following a fine piece of individual play to complete the rout.

Levante UD 2-1 Oiartzun KE

Oiartzun produced a plucky performance in which they once again displayed all of their desire to retain their Liga Iberdrola status. However, the Basques were ultimately powerless to deny a Levante side spearheaded by the attacking talents of Maria Jose Perez and Charlyn Corral.

Les Granotes' striking duo claimed a goal apiece to seal maximum points for Andres Tudela's side. With the hosts two goals to the good, Eztizen Merino cut the arrears when she took aim from distance to unleash an unstoppable shot which found the top corner in the 60th minute. This win sees Levante close in on third-placed Valencia, while Oiartzun remain perilously perched just above the drop zone.

Atletico Madrid 0-0 Valencia CF

This meeting between two of the division's heavyweights failed to deliver any goals at Cerro del Espino, as Las Rojiblancas were left to settle for a point after the visitors' well-drilled backline left the Madrilenians frustrated. Indeed, Cristian Toro's troops offered a reminder of exactly why they boast the meanest defence in the division.

Sonia Bermudez and Esther Gonzalez were both guilty of squandering several gilt-edged chances, before Marta Corredera's deflected effort from the edge of the area came just inches away from sneaking inside the post after the break. Ultimately no goals were forthcoming, leaving Angel Villacampa's side to reflect on two points dropped.

Rayo Vallecano 2-1 Sporting Huelva

Rayo racked up a third win on the bounce to retain their place in the Copa de la Reina spots for a further matchday. Paula Andujar opened the scoring with 18 minutes on the clock and seven minutes later, sharpshooter Natalia Pablos - the hosts' leading scorer - put the Madrid outfit into the driving seat following a sensational solo run. Sporting's Laura Rus gave the visitors hope when she rifled home before the interval, but the Andalusians were unable to muster an equaliser as Rayo's recent purple patch goes on.

Santa Teresa CD 3-0 RCD Espanyol

Santa Teresa once again evidenced their determination to remain within striking distance of the all-important top eight, with this comprehensive victory leaving them four points adrift of the Copa de la Reina qualification places. Goals from Aina Torres, Estefania Lima - from the spot - and Ainize Barea secured victory for the Badajoz-based outfit and condemned the beleaguered Catalans, who failed to reap the rewards of a recent change at the helm, to yet another defeat. Las Pericas' plight is now becoming rather desperate and they simply have to start putting some wins on the board if they're to keep their faint survival hopes alive.

Zaragoza CFF 3-2 F. Albacete

Alberto Berna's Zaragoza edged this pulsating bout to mathematically guarantee their top-flight status for another season. The Aragonese outfit broke the deadlock on 35' and the scoreline remained unchanged at the break.

The sides treated the spectators to some eye-catching football in the second period as the goals began to fly in. First up, Macarena Portales hauled Albacete level on 50', however, the visitors' joy proved to be short-lived, with Naima Garcia bagging a brace in the space of just four minutes to make it 3-1 to the home side. There was still time for a further goal as Maria Arranz fired home in the 83rd minute to set up a grandstand finish, but Zaragoza held on to take the win.

Real Sociedad 8-1 UD Tacuense

La Real unceremoniously put rock-bottom Tacuense to the sword in a devastating display in which Igor San Miguel's troops showed that they have no intention of taking their foot off the gas in the final stages of the campaign.

Titay Calvo opened her account for the San Sebastian outfit with a double, while Naiara Beristain also claimed a brace and Manuela Lareo, Leyre Fernandez, Nahikari Garcia and Leire Baños all got in on the act in a win which sees the Basques hold on to seventh spot for a further round of fixtures. The Tacuense goal, which was nothing more than a consolation, was scored by Andrea Marrero.

FC Barcelona 3-0 Real Betis

Barça made light work of Betis to put their title destiny in their own hands, as they move level on points with Atleti and top of the standings. Jenni Hermoso and Alexia Putellas stole the headlines here, with the latter teeing up Barcelona's number 10 for the opener, before a case of role reversal saw Las Blaugranas double their advantage on the stroke of half-time. Xavi Llorens's ladies utterly dominated proceedings in the second half, during which Alexia claimed her second of the game to round off a comfortable afternoon's work.
