Antoine Griezmann (21 March 1991, Macon, France) has picked up the Best Player in LaLiga Santander 2015/16 award at the #PremiosLaLiga Gala. This is the first time the forward has been named the division's player of the season and comes in recognition of his sensational performances for Atletico Madrid last term.
The Frenchman was a regular difference-maker and match-winner during what was another dream season for himself and Los Rojiblancos, and his excellent stats are a testament to his influence. With 22 goals and five assists, he spearheaded the charge with distinction for an Atletico Madrid side whose strong team spirit and tight-knit unit also provide a perfect platform for individuals to shine. Griezmann certainly sparkled in 2015/16, consistently showcasing his all-round talent, eye for goal and knack of coming up with something special to settle games in crunch moments, a combination which has seen him crowned as the campaign's outstanding performer.
