Granada CF 4-0 D. Alaves

Atletico Madrid 1-0 Getafe CF

FC Barcelona 2-0 R. Valladolid CF

RCD Espanyol 2-0 Real Sociedad

The Round of 16 of the PAMESA LaLiga Promises Santander left its fair share of goals, excitement and surprises, with Real Madrid eliminated in the opening game of the day against a Sevilla FC academy team that continue to show the same top form that was on display the previous weekend with their U-12 side. Granada and Villarreal produced a goal-fest in their respective encounters while Betis, also through to the quarter-finals, netted a brace, with their striker Alex emerging as the golden boot having netted 8 goals in the group stage and round of 16 combined. And, just as happened in the previous year’s edition of the tournament and in the U-12 tournament the previous weekend, this knockout round produced no penalty shootouts.

QUARTER-FINALS

Sevilla 2-0 Valencia CF

The opening game of the quarter-finals in the Ciudad Deportiva PAMESA Ceramica proved to be a showstopper, with the Andalusian side earning its pass to the semi-final, just as its U-12 team had done the previous week in Vila-real. Ciria and Manuel Angel were the goal scorers, and Sevilla will now face Granada in the next round.

RCD Espanyol 0-0 Granada CF

The quarter-final round of the PAMESA LaLiga Promises saw a total of three matches going to penalties to decide the outcome. The first was in the match between RCD Espanyol and Granada CF, with the Andalusians emerging victorious thanks to a stellar performance from their goalie and a final score of 2-3.

Atletico Madrid 1-1 Villarreal

Villarreal took an early lead with a great goal in the opening minutes, although Atletico Madrid managed to draw even just a few minutes later. The match finally went to penalties, where Villarreal prevailed over their rival to go through to the next round.

FC Barcelona 0-0 R. Betis

The final fixture of the LaLiga Promises quarter-finals saw a thrilling face-off with a plethora of chances on both sides that finally fizzled into nothing. The ensuing penalty shootout saw the Catalan side qualifying for the semi-final.
