Players representing the Liga de Fútbol Profesional will also make up part of the list of nominees for the FIFA/FIFPro World XI which will be announced during the FIFA Ballon d’Or gala on the 13th of January 2014.
Real Madrid and Barcelona dominate this list of players from the Liga BBVA with nine men representing them each, while Atlético Madrid, the defending Copa del Rey champions, will be represented by Diego Costa who is also among the list of candidates to make up part of the prestigious team.
