On Sunday, May 10, from 21:00 CET, ELCLÁSICO will take place at Spotify Camp Nou. A clash that could prove decisive in the LALIGA EA SPORTS title race. The historic rivalry between Barça and Real Madrid captivates the entire country and continues to grow in international visibility year after year.

Heading into the match, both managers will look to field their players in the best possible form. Despite the challenges posed by several key absences, Hansi Flick and Álvaro Arbeloa will aim to put together the strongest possible starting line-up for FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Possible FC Barcelona line-up against Real Madrid

FC Barcelona approach this fixture with several doubts, although one absence stands out above the rest. Lamine Yamal suffered an injury during Matchday 33 against RC Celta and will not feature again in this LALIGA EA SPORTS campaign. In addition, players such as Christensen, Marc Bernal and Raphinha are still lacking match fitness, although Bernal did make a brief appearance in Pamplona.

As a result, FC Barcelona’s possible line-up against Real Madrid could feature Joan Garcia in goal, with Koundé, Cubarsí (or Eric García), Gerard Martín and Cancelo in defence. In midfield, Flick could once again rely on two of his standout performers in recent weeks, Pedri and Gavi, alongside the ever-dangerous Fermín. In attack, without Lamine Yamal available, Roony Bardghji and Marcus Rashford are competing for a place on the right wing, while Olmo could start on the left due to Raphinha’s lack of minutes. Up front, another key decision remains: Ferran Torres or Lewandowski.

Real Madrid also have several absences ahead of the clash. Álvaro Arbeloa is dealing with a number of long-term injuries that heavily influence his lineup selection. Mendy, Militão, Carvajal, Güler and Rodrygo have all been ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Fede Valverde will also miss the game. In addition, the availability of Courtois and Tchouaméni remains uncertain. Mbappé is also a doubt after picking up an injury at La Cartuja against Real Betis. The rest of the squad, barring any last-minute setbacks, will be available for the coach.

As things stand, Real Madrid could line up against FC Barcelona with either Lunin or Courtois in goal, protected by a back four of Alexander-Arnold, Huijsen, Rüdiger and Fran García. In midfield, Bellingham and Camavinga are expected to start, with Brahim and Thiago Pitarch also in contention. Up front, Vinícius is untouchable, while Mbappé could partner him if fit; otherwise, Gonzalo is expected to take the Frenchman’s place.
