LALIGA EA SPORTS 2025/26 season to kick off on the weekend of August 17th

LALIGA EA SPORTS will end on the weekend of May 24th.

Nota de Prensa

VIE 06.06.2025

The 2025/26 LALIGA season will begin across both divisions on the weekend of 17th August and will end on 24th May for LALIGA EA SPORTS and on Sunday, 31st May for the regular season of LALIGA HYPERMOTION.

As has been the case since the 2019/20 season, the LALIGA fixture calendar will follow a free asymmetric model, which means no two matchdays are the same. The primary aim of the asymmetric calendar is to accommodate as many variables as possible, such as safety requirements, European competitions, club requests, construction work, public holidays, events, and other circumstances. This approach is designed to maximise both stadium attendance and audiovisual audiences.

Key calendar dates

In addition to the start and end dates of LALIGA EA SPORTS and the regular LALIGA HYPERMOTION season, the promotion playoffs for LALIGA HYPERMOTION will take place between 7 and 21 June.

There will be five FIFA international breaks:

·       Monday 1st to Tuesday 9th September 2025

·       Monday 6th to Tuesday 14th October 2025

·       Monday 10th to Tuesday 18th November 2025

·       Monday 23rd to Tuesday 31st March 2026

·       Monday 1st to Tuesday 9th June 2026

LALIGA EA SPORTS will include three midweek matchdays, while LALIGA HYPERMOTION will have one.

The Christmas break will commence after matches are played on Sunday 21st December, with competition resuming on the weekend of 4th January.

The dates of the official fixture draws for the 2025/26 seasons of LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION will be announced soon.
