UNICEF and the Liga de Fútbol Profesional have joined forces again to organise the 2nd 'Champions for Life' charity match, which this year will be held at the Vicente Calderón Stadium on 29 December at 7.00 pm CET.

The game, which will raise funds for charity, will once against be played between East and West teams, made up of players both from the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante. For instance, the East team could include footballers from FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol
alongside players from Athletic Club and Real Sociedad. The same applies to the West team, which could include players from Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid CF, Málaga CF, Sevilla FC or R. Betis B.

Champions for Life is a joint initiative of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Foundation and the
UNICEF Spanish Committee. In this second event, under the slogan "Celebrate Life", the goal remains to help children. On the one hand, UNICEF will use the funds raised to combat ebola in Africa. And on the other, the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Foundation will provide funding for projects put forward by the clubs of a social or humanitarian nature, related to the most basic needs of children, both in Spain and overseas.
