Valencia CF have announced that Cesare Prandelli has tendered his resignation as the club's head coach almost exactly three months after taking the reins.
The Italian tactician was appointed as the Los Che boss back on 1 October and oversaw eight LaLiga Santander games, in which his side could only muster a single win, as well as amassing three draws and four defeats. Prandelli leaves Valencia 17th in the table, level on points with R. Sporting, who occupy the final relegation spot.
Prandelli's replacement in the hotseat, at least for the time being, will be Salvador Gonzalez, better known as Voro. This will not be the former Valencia defender's first stint in the Mestalla hotseat: he has previously had several spells in charge on a caretaker basis, including earlier this season following the sacking of Pako Ayestaran, when he led the team to two victories and one loss.
