-Jenni was born in Madrid on 9 May 1990. The 26 year old is left-footed and made her Women's First Division debut in the Atletico Madrid Women's ranks.

-At the age of 12, she joined the Atletico Madrid Women youth set-up, where she gradually progressed before breaking through into the first team. She later moved clubs within the capital, signing for Rayo Vallecano. Jenni would later return to Spain's top flight to sign for FC Barcelona, after a year playing abroad.

-Back in 2013, 22-year-old Jenni enjoyed her only taste of club football abroad to date, when she spent a season at Swedish outfit Tyreso, where fellow Spaniard Vero Boquete plied her trade, as well as famous names such as Brazil's Marta, Sweden's Caroline Seger and the USA's Christen Press.

-She featured in the European Championship for Spain that same year and notched the team's first goal in Sweden in their opening match in the competition. Spain ran out 3-2 winners over England, with the Barcelona forward named player of the match.

-Despite not being a traditional number 9, Jenni's goals have always been crucial. She earned Atletico Madrid Women promotion to the Women's First Division with a stoppage-time strike against L'Estartit. She also struck to clinch the league title for Rayo Vallecano in 2011. As for the current campaign, she ended up as the Women's First Division's top goalscorer for the first time, with 24 goals to her name.

-Her medal collection includes three league titles and a Copa de la Reina. She racked up her first league title at Rayo Vallecano in 2010/11. Since moving to the Catalan capital, she has been involved in Barcelona's two recent league triumphs (2013/14 and 2014/15), with Copa de la Reina success in 2013/14 securing a memorable double.

-Jenni Hermoso has enjoyed Champions League action for seven consecutive years. She featured in the competition for two seasons for both Rayo Vallecano and Tyreso, while she now has three Champions League campaigns under her belt as a Barcelona player.

-She was selected by Ignacio Quereda in the 23-player squad for the women's national team's first World Cup appearance in summer 2015. She also featured in the starting XI that took on Costa Rica in Spain's opening game of the tournament on Canadian soil.

-She is number 10 for Barcelona and the national team, but that is not the only shirt number she has worn during her career. At Rayo Vallecano, she was 11, while Tyreso gave her 14, which she has also sported for her country, alongside 15, 16 and 21.

-She has been the DJ in every dressing room that she has stepped foot in and there is barely any space left on her body for any more tattoos.
