The #LigaBBVAExperience continues to conquer new cities, with Seville becoming the eighth stop for the initiative orchestrated by LaLiga and the competition's international broadcasters that brings fans closer to the passion and emotions that reverberate throughout the best league in the world.
Ziad and his 10-year-old son Nader from Lebanon were the stars of the latest instalment. The pair spent three days soaking up the beauty of the Andalusian capital during which their dream of witnessing one of the best derbies in the world live came true when Sevilla FC took on Real Betis.
The #LigaBBVAExperience is about much more than football, however. It is tourism, gastronomy and also a constant, rich intercultural exchange. Ziad and Nader visited Seville's most breathtaking attractions, sampled traditional Andalusian delicacies and shared unforgettable moments with other supporters who made them feel at home.
Matchday was, of course, the most memorable part of the trip. The father and son embarked on a tour of the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan just hours before kick-off in which they ventured into the trophy room, the VIP lounge and press room. They also received certificates acknowledging them as LaLiga Fan Ambassadors and spent the minutes building up to the derby pitchside.
Ziad and Nader, who were kitted out in Sevilla shirts and scarves that were part of their welcome pack, revelled in Unai Emery's side's win. The atmosphere on the terraces was electric for a competitive contest in which Ever Banega's technical brilliance and Kevin Gameiro's movement truly caught the eye.
With the dream of experiencing LaLiga live at close quarters now accomplished, there were still more smiles to come. Little Nader, who is a goalkeeper in his school team, was able to greet players from both teams, take photos with them and get their signatures. The #LigaBBVAExperience lit the flame for the 10-year-old's ambitious dream to be a professional footballer among the constellation of stars that ply their trade in LaLiga.
