Athletic Club 1-1 R. Sporting

The evening's all-LaLiga Santander encounter between Athletic and Sporting ended up with honours even. It was a keenly contested match in the Basque town of Sarrienda. Burgui handed Abelardo's side the lead, but hotshot Iñaki Williams levelled in the 79th minute, seizing on a loose ball in the area following a corner.

Konyaspor 0-1 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad beat Turkish team Konyaspor to make a winning start to their tour of the Netherlands. After the score remained goalless in the first half, the San Sebastian outfit clinched victory through young gun Mikel Oyarzabal's solitary strike just after the restart. It was a smart finish from the starlet when one-on-one with the keeper.

UD Logroñes 0-0 D. Alaves (4-3 on penalties)

The 16th Villa de Laguardia Trophy was decided on a shootout. Neither Logroñes nor Alaves were able to find the net over the 90 minutes despite both enjoying a string of fine chances. So it was that it went to the lottery of penalties and the hosts eventually claimed glory after converting four of their five spot-kicks, while the visitors missed two.

CF Fuenlabrada 1-3 CD Leganes

With goals and great football on show, it is small wonder that everyone who made their way to the Estadio Fernando Torres had a smashing time. Gabriel put Leganes ahead in the 28th minute after rounding off a counter-attack. Academy youngster Javier Aviles made it 2-0 in the second half, before Mikel headed home from a free-kick to reduce the deficit. However, the visitors had saved the best for last and sealed the win seven minutes later, Gonzalo Saiz easing past two players before firing home on the run.

Sevilla Atletico 1-2 At. Osasuna

Osasuna continued their pre-season preparations in Cadiz up against LaLiga 1l2l3 side Sevilla Atletico at the Estadio Municipal Arturo Puntas Vela. It was the Andalusians who got themselves in the ascendancy with half an hour gone, with Jose Angel Carrillo breaking the deadlock. The second-tier outfit held on to their advantage going into the interval, but Osasuna came out with intent after half-time and equalised within four minutes through Alex Berenguer. The Pamplona outfit were made to wait until nine minutes from time before finally putting their noses in front, Kenan Kodro finishing off Nino's great pass with what turned out to be the winning goal.
