RCD Mallorca kick up their heels

RCD Mallorca are in party mode, celebrating one hundred years since the founding of their club, a great reason for the whole  Bermellones family to come together and enjoy a magical evening. Mallorca was founded on 5 March 1916 but the events programme commemorating the centenary of that special date kicked off on Sunday.

The Teatro Principal de Palma was the venue for a lavish opening ceremony attended by club president, Utz Claassen, CEO, Maheta Molango, president of the Real Mallorca Centenary Committee, Antoni Tugores, president of the Balearic Island Government, Francina Armengol, and several former presidents that have represnted RCD Mallorca over the years.

A number of videos charting Mallorca's historic footballing journey, the Mallorca Centennial Fun Run, the Mallorquinista Congress, the architects of the Balearic team's first ascent to the elite league, the presence of Hector Cuper and several players from the current squad were just some of the highlights of this gala night.
