Popović's Zaragoza steamroll Ponferradina

R. Zaragoza downed SD Ponferradina comfortably in the 15th round of Liga Adelante in what was Ranko Popović’s coaching bow at the club.

There were five goals in what was one of the games of the weekend. Zaragoza started the better, and looked stronger than Ponferradina. They opened the scoring in the fourth minute, and continued to show their strength, scoring two more (Borja Bastón and Pedro) before the break to take the game away from the visitors, who could not live with Popović’s men.

In the second half Zaragoza continued to attack, and scored their fourth goal with a spectacular chip from Eldin. Yuri was able to pull a goal back for Ponferradina, breathing life into the visitors who improved, but ultimately could not score again. With this result Zaragoza move up to sixth, while Ponferradina sit just above their victors with the same number of points, 23.
