Intensity from the beginning
As usual when the "Astuariano" team plays at Molinón, Abelardo´s men came out with a high pressing on rival´s field trying to corner Valencia from the early stages of the match.

Sporting defense
One of the cornerstones of Sporting is found on defense. It was one of the teams who had not yet conceded in Liga BBVA and much of its strength on the back is because of how well the team is worked out in this sense.

Great performance of the goalkeepers
Ivan "Pichu" Cuellar and Jaume Domenech displayed a great performance in the match. Both avoided clear goal chances thanks to a really good saves.

Daniel Parejo
Valencia´s skipper, Dani Parejo, was the truly compass of the "Che" side. The number '10' of Nuno Espirito Santo´s team was at all times the guide that his team needed. In the second half, the player from Madrid, in one of his regular appearances in to the rival area, crashed the ball against the crossbar.

Open end
In the stretch of the game and with the score still to be decided, Sporting and Valencia jumped on in search of the opening goal and put a lot of excitement in the later part of the clash played at El Molinon. Paco Alcácer, in the last minute, headed in the 1-0 and gave the first win of the season to the away team.
