Matchday 25 of the Liga BBVA promises to be a vital one for Granada CF and FC Barcelona. After the Andalusians' last-gasp defeat to Levante (2-1) and Málaga CF's victory at the Camp Nou (0-1), both sides will be out to leave the doubts behind and get back on track with a win this weekend.
Team news
Suspensions have left Abel Resino with a selection headache for the fixture. With Adrián Colunga, Youssef El-Arabi, Juan Carlos Pérez and Emanuel Insúa all out, in addition to the injured Rubén Rochina, Piti and Sulayman, the Granada boss will be forced to shuffle his pack. For Barcelona, habitual absentees Thomas Vermaelen and Douglas Pereira are joined by Gerard Piqué, suspended due to accumulated yellow cards.
Views from the dugout
Resino spoke of the importance of his team's mentality against los azulgranas: "The quality of the FC Barcelona players should be an added incentive and source of motivation to beat them; if you beat these players, you know you're on the right track to beating the other teams". Luis Enrique noted that Barça expect a Granada "in need of points and very strong at home", while his side's current situation in La Liga meant he was in no doubt: "Anything other than a win won't do us".
