Official Statement

Written denouncements that the LFP will send to the Professional Competition Committee.

Denuncias

TUE 31.03.2015

Under the rules of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, la Liga de Fútbol Profesional will every Tuesday send a letter denouncing the shouting of chants that incite violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport to the Professional Competition Committee, given that such actions are contrary to the judicial regimen put forward in the RFEF’s Disciplinary Code. This letter of denouncement will be sent each Thursday to the Antiviolence Commission.

We also underline that the LFP has set up a mailbox to which fans attending matches can send their complaints, suggests or requests with the purpose of contributing to the fight against violence in stadiums. The email address is: viveelfutbol@laliga.es.

  1. Liga Adelante

RC Recreativo de Huelva - Real Betis Balompié

During different moments of the game there was chanting of songs that incite violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport.

1. In minute 15 of the game, around 3,000 exclusively visiting fans, possessing items indicative of this (scarves, shirts, flags and banners), located in the away end, exclaimed on two separate occasions the follow expression: “PUTA BIRIS OÉ!”.

The aforementioned expression was carried out in a choral coordinated manner and, as can be heard in the video (it cannot be appreciated simply with photographs), is noted for the rhythm set by a kettle drum and started from the lower tier in the corner where the group known as “SUPPORTERS GOL SUR” are situated, given the banner indicative of the group, being picked up by the rest of the visiting fans as previously described.

It must be noted that there was a large number of visiting supporters - around 7,000 – and although the previously mentioned chant was sung by a relevant number of them, it was an isolated incident during the game; and apart from this the behaviour of said visiting fans was correct during the rest of the game, with no type of incident that affected the match whatsoever.

2. Once regulation time had passed, during the second minute of stoppage time, as consequence of a refereeing decision and at the root of general protestations, the majority of the home side’s fans repeatedly chanted the expression “HIJO DE PUTA!”, with reference to the referee. The expression was started in an unknown zone in the stadium, and was gradually picked up by the rest of the spectators.

It must be noted that this was an isolated incident during the game, and apart from this the behaviour of the home fans was correct during the rest of the game, with no type of incident that affected the match whatsoever. Both sets of fans, especially considering the high volume of visitors, behaved cordially towards each other, and no incidents or altercations were detected. In the same sense, both by the stadium’s megaphone and on the big screens, the message Afición + Respeto = Vive el futbol was emitted, and just before the start of the game a welcome message was played to the visiting side.
