Scoring goals is in their blood and, as from 27 October, one of them will be able to add the 'Best Forward in the Liga Adelante' award to their trophy cabinets. At the '2014 LFP Awards Ceremony', which will be broadcast on La Sexta (22:30), Borja Viguera, Kike García or Stefan Šćepović will be recognised for their goal scoring during the 2013-14 season.
The current Athletic Club striker had the best season of his career at D. Alavés, where he was the championship's top goal-scorer. He found the net 25 times in the Liga Adelante last season, played every match and saved the Albiazules from relegation in the last game of the competition; all reasons that Borja Viguera was one of the best forwards in the 2013-14 Liga Adelante.
After several seasons at Real Murcia CF, Kike García had his breakthrough year last season and left some unbelievable stats in his wake. The striker scored 23 goals and had 149 shots, more than any other player in the championship and a sign of his goal-scoring instinct and hunger for victory. He is now playing for Middlesbrough FC in England.
Stefan Šćepović scored 23 goals in 39 Liga Adelante matches, giving him an average of 0.58 per match and putting R. Sporting in the fight for the playoffs for promotion to the Liga BBVA. The willowy Serbian striker formed a lethal partnership with his compatriot Dejan Lekić, which earned him a place in this battle to be recognised as the best striker in the championship.
