Nico Pareja, ruptured ligament and six months out of action

Sevilla FC have confirmed that Nico Pareja has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament ruptura and a grade two sprain to the lateral external ligament of his right knee. The Argentine defender will have to undergo surgery and the club estimates that he will take between six and seven months to recover. 

Pareja got injured during the UEFA Europa League game against FC Zenit and had to come off after fifteen minutes. The footballer is one of key players in the dressing room and in Unai Emery’s starting XI (he has played 26 Liga BBVA games this season) but he will miss the final games of the season.
