Great start for Levante

With the away side attempting to score the first goal, opportunities didn’t take long to come. In a play by Rubi’s men, Morales crossed the ball for David Navarro to head it. Cuellar had to make a big effort to save his shot but he didn’t have any chance in the continuing play, when Deyverson took advantage of yet another cross to put his team in front.

Feddal breaks the match

Morales turned into the most dangerous player for Levante. He was the axis of the offensive football in his team and every time he touched the ball you could sense the nervousness in the home club. The winger was responsible of the play that lead to the second goal for his side. He connected a great free kick that made Cuellar have another impressive intervention, but the loose ball ended up being put at the back of the net by Feddal.

Levante made full use of their free kicks after the weakness that Sporting was showing following the first goals. From a corner kick, Deyverson took his chance to send a header to the back of the net and sentence the clash.

Penalty wasted by Jony

Abelardo put his trust on Carlos Castro to bring another attacker on in the second half in order to achieve a comeback. The team from Asturias took a step forward and they found a penalty after Toño Garcia knocked Castro over. However, Ruben guessed where Jony was going to shoot, buried any attempt of comeback and sealed the victory.
