The game between Real Sociedad and Levante UD is the opening game of matchday 35 of the Liga BBVA and involves two sides who will be aiming to end the season as calmly as possible. The Valencia side has had a good run with two consecutive victories, and is in 15th, six points off the relegation xone. The “txuri-urdin” have had two draws in a row and are 12th in the table. Both sides have the same aim in this game: survival.
Team news
David Moyes, Real Madrid manager predicts changes to his starting XI due to player tiredness, after three games in eight days. He will be without David Zurutuza due to injury but will have Mikel González available despite the fact he was sent off against Athletic Club.
Lucas Alcaraz has Antonio García 'Toño' available and again and will also be able to play Víctor Casadesús, as he will serve his ban for yellow cards on matchday 36. However, Levante will be without Papakouli Diop who is injured.
Thoughts of the coaches
Moyes believes that this will be "a demanding game because lately, Levante have been a difficult side to beat”, however he hopes that his side “play with the same intensity of the last game and that the three points will stay in Anoeta”.
His opposite number in the visitor’s dugout also gave a pre-match assessment. He thinks that the opponents are “a very fast side with quality” and that his team will not be able “to let their guard down at all”.
