Las Palmas and Girona play for the top spot in the Liga Adelante

The Canary Island team will defend the top spot against Alcorcón, whilst the Catalan team face Betis, a direct rival towards the summit of the table.

R. Racing C. - CD Leganés (6pm CET, Campos de Sport del Sardinero)

The visit of the Madrid side to Campos de Sport del Sardinero will open matchday 26 of the Liga Adelante. Paco Fernández' men will attempt to get a home win that will help them to move away from the drop zone. To do so they need to beat a Leganés side who are in-form and arrive after a win against CD Lugo on the last matchday (2-0), their third consecutive win.

In the press conference, the Leganés coach, Asier Garitano, stressed that he expects "a very strong opponent" and that his seed need “to be switched on from the outset". Paco Fernández, who will be without key attacking player Koné, predicts that "intensity will be key in every area of the pitch".

RCD Mallorca - At. Osasuna (6.15pm CET, Iberostar Estadio)

Osasuna visit a Mallorca side who are in need of a win. The Balearic Island side have a winless run of four matches (three defeats and a draw). A loss could leave them in the relegation zone by the end of the day. Meanwhile, Meanwhile, nor are Jan Urban's side in top-form following two 0-1 home defeats against R. Zaragoza and UE Llagostera.

Nanu Soler, the Mallorca coach, will be aiming to improve his team’s situation: "if we manage that, we be closer to getting a win". Jan Urban has the same objective: "We have to try and end this streak as soon as possible”.

AD Alcorcón - UD Las Palmas (7pm CET, Estadio Santo Domingo)

The leaders visit Alcorcón with the aim of holding on to the top spot. The Madrid side are still in the middle of the table (11th) but they go into this game following nine successive matches without a win.

José Bordalás stated that "the team is working to turn this run of bad results around and try to get a win as soon as possible, this time against a very difficult opponent". Paco Herrera, the Las Palmas coach, expects "a game with a lot of contact, tough and with balls being fought for".

Real Betis - Girona FC (8pm CET, Estadio Benito Villamarín)

The duel between teams near the top of the table will be played out between Betis (5th) and Girona (3rd). The Catalans arrive in Seville in top-form, they are undefeated in seven successive game and only two points from the top spot held by Las Palmas. . Meanwhile, Pepe Mel’s men have had three consecutive draws and are looking for a win that would put them above Girona in the table.

The Betis coach expects an opponent who are "difficult to beat when playing away from home. They have the best away record in the league and this has all of the ingredients to be a really difficult game". For the Girona Coach, Pablo Machín, "going top of the table is our greatest motivating factor".
