LaLiga Santander mania knows no bounds and the United States will be the next country to experience all the excitement of Spanish football at close quarters thanks to a series of events in Miami and Chicago.
On Saturday 29 July, El Clasico fever will be hitting the famous city of Miami, Florida, with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona set to go head-to-head at the Hard Rock Stadium. Spanish football will once again be taking the spotlight on the global stage with this overseas clash of the titans, as the age-old rivals do battle again in the world's most iconic fixture to warm up for the new season.
Fans in the United States have had the chance to get into the El Clasico spirit in the past thanks to the public viewings staged by LaLiga in Miami and New York, but this time they can witness the meeting between the Madrilenians and the Catalans in the flesh.
Just a few days later, Zinedine Zidane's side – the reigning LaLiga Santander champions – will travel to Chicago to take on the Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Stars, whose squad includes familiar faces such as David Villa and Kaka.
The action will also be played out on social media, where supporters across the globe will be able to join in the conversation via the hashtag #LaLigaInUSA. LaLiga's official accounts on Twitter (@LaLiga and @LaLigaEN), Facebook (facebook.com/LaLiga) and Instagram (@LaLiga) will be covering the proceedings in all their glory by serving up the best snapshots and videos. What's more, a number of fringe events will be taking place in Miami and Chicago to tie in with the games, with several LaLiga ambassadors in attendance.
