Monday's extraordinary meeting involving Alfredo Lorenzo, LaLiga's director of integrity and security, and the heads of security at the clubs and public limited sports companies (SADs) that constitute LaLiga, aimed to analyse the increase in violence that has been recorded in recent months. There have been a large number of cases of both physical and verbal violence that need to be tackled head-on by the clubs and LaLiga in unison.

The meeting, which was attended by all LaLiga clubs except UD Almeria and CA Osasuna, featured a breakdown of the antisocial incidents that have been part of the upsurge. A series of measures to put a stop to them and return to the previous trend of decreasing violence from the last few years were detailed in a bid to generate a trouble-free football world in the near future. Achieving that goal is absolutely essential for every supporter that travels to stadiums match after match out of love for the beautiful game.

Some of the steps are to be handled internally, such as following violent groups even more closely and reporting them. Clubs and SADs have once again been asked to be fully committed to eradicating such behaviour and to pay special attention to any related incidents that could be triggers for future violence, even if they may not appear crucially important at first glance.
