With the LaLiga Santander Matchday 30 action all done and dusted, it's time to take stock and reveal the latest LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI, which features representatives from eight different clubs.
Taking his place between the Best XI sticks is Real Betis custodian Antonio Adan, who turned in an eye-catching display as the Sevillians eked out a 1-0 win over Getafe CF at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Adan's heroics, which saw him save a penalty and make several other fine stops en route to a shutout, earned him 17 points and the Player of the Matchday award.
Variety is the order of the day as far as the side's defensive ranks are concerned. The team's five-man backline is made up of players from a quintet of clubs, with Betis's Antonio Barragan (12 points), Athletic Club centre-back Unai Nuñez (14), Malaga CF's Ignasi Miquel (12), Real Madrid youngster Jesus Vallejo (13) and D.Alaves stopper Victor Laguardia (12) making the cut. All five were standout performers in their respective outings, with four of them helping their teams to record clean sheets.
The Best XI engine room is brimming with creative flair, with Jesus Navas, Luka Modric, Saul Ñiguez and Jose Luis Morales - all of whom chalked up 12 points - forming a rather tasty-looking midfield quartet. Last but not least, Gareth Bale ploughs a lone furrow up front, with the Welsh speed merchant getting the nod after his brace helped Los Blancos to a 3-0 away triumph over UD Las Palmas.
