As the dust settles on the LaLiga Santander Matchday 26 fixtures, it's now time to reveal the LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Matchday Best XI from this latest round of games. On this occasion, the formidable-looking lineup features representatives from no fewer than seven different clubs, with Atletico Madrid the dominant force as a trio of their standout performers did enough to make the cut.
For the second time running, the Player of the Matchday honours go to Atletico's Antoine Griezmann. The Rojiblancos' sharpshooter turned in a sublime four-star performance, which saw him notch up 24 points, as Atleti put CD Leganes to the sword at the Wanda Metropolitano. The on-form hitman produced a dazzling display to claim all of his side's goals in a resounding 4-0 success.
The man taking his place between the sticks this time round is Real Sociedad's Miguel Angel Moya (22). The La Real debutant produced an assured performance to record a clean sheet in his side's goalless stalemate at Real Betis.
The Best XI backline is made up of a defensive quintet representing five different teams, with D.Alaves's Victor Laguardia (15), Betis's Marc Bartra (17), Girona FC's Bernardo (15), Sevilla FC stopper Clement Lenglet (14) and Atletico's Filipe Luis (15) all doing their bit to keep the opponents at bay in their respective fixtures.
The middle third features a four-man unit that's bursting with creative talent and defensive steel. Ibai Gomez tops the pile in the midfield standings following an impressive 14-point showing. Slotting in alongside him are Koke (13), Geoffrey Kondogbiaand Alex Granell, who chalked up 12 points apiece.
Leading the line in this 5-4-1 formation is Player of the Matchday Griezmann. The Frenchman once again grabbed the headlines, with his four-goal haul bringing his tally in his last two outings to seven.
