The training camp organised by LaLiga and the CEAIE (China Education Association for International Exchange) involving 60 boys and girls from China drew to a close this Friday. All of the participants experienced an unforgettable week, combining training sessions, matches and leisure activities at various locations in the city of Madrid.
The youngsters from China arrived in Spain on Friday 30 September in order to expand their cultural horizons and extend their knowledge of football. With this in mind, the training camp gave them the opportunity to visit the Valdebebas and Rayo Vallecano training grounds in person, where Real Madrid and Rayo perform their preparatory work.
The participants took part in several training sessions at the facilities where their idols train on a daily basis, and they even got to meet some of the players from the Rayo first-team squad in person. Fernando Sanz, LaLiga's MENA office manager, was also there to welcome the entire group.
They also attended the Santiago Bernabeu on two occasions: first to go on a full tour of the stadium, and then to enjoy the LaLiga Santander match between Real Madrid and SD Eibar. The training camp concluded with several friendly games being played between the young Chinese promises and a number of youth teams from the Community of Madrid. The matches were held at the installations of the Atletico Casarrubuelos Football School, one of the most history-laden clubs in the Community of Madrid with links to Atletico Madrid.
