For the enjoyment of all Spanish football fans, LaLiga won't stop for Christmas. For the first time in history, the coming 30 and 31 December, matches of the best league in the world will be played. Around these matches, corresponding to the Liga BBVA matchday 17, LaLiga presented a special campaign of events under the name of #LaLigaNonStop.

This initiative will have different simultaneous events in the vicinity of the stadiums in which the goal is to turn this matchday into a family gathering. Fan zones, large Christmas trees with footballing motives and a great variety of activities aimed at the smaller will be the perfect appetizer for the last matchday of Liga BBVA in 2015. In addition, major Spanish newspapers will distribute stickers with Christmas motifs to promote # LaLigaNonStop.

#LaLigaNonStop presentation took place on Friday morning in the presence of Javier Tebas, LaLiga's president, Ignacio Martinez Trujillo, LaLiga's CEO of Global Innovation and Development, and Javier Martos, Executive Director of the Board of UNICEF Spanish Committee.

LaLiga’s president, Javier Tebas, trusted the success of the project: "We hope #LaLigaNonStop is a success. It is the first time that there are matches on Christmas and we hope it will not be the last". The main protagonists are the smallest, and that´s why "there will be special prices for children. #LaLigaNonStop will be an important family event", stressed Javier Tebas.

In collaboration with UNICEF, the aim will be that football become a feast in which family, fans and fun will be very present. "This year we cannot celebrate Champions For Life, but we do not want to stop to stand next to UNICEF, and part of the proceeds will be devoted to charity projects", said Tebas. A campaign that also will involve several players from the Women's First Division on scheduled events.

Following the presentation, Javier Tebas welcomed the award of the exploitation of audiovisual content. "The sale of audiovisual rights that have been carried out these days is a success. Were unthinkable figures until some time ago". In turn, the president of LaLiga referred to the international expansion projects of the agency for 2016. "China will remain important to us. Proof of this is that we have three Chinese workers with us in Madrid. Next year, in addition, we will open offices in New York, New Delhi and Rio de Janeiro. We will be present in these places where there are many fans of Spanish football", concluded Thebes.
