CE Sabadell and R. Valladolid CF drew 0-0 in a clash that was end-to-end stuff from start to finish, with good chances for both teams and brilliant performances from the two goalkeepers.
In the first half, Valladolid laid siege on the opposition goal for several minutes. Óscar Díaz and Jeffren Suárez both had chances to put their side in front. The home side woke up as the match progressed and put the Blanquivioleta keeper Javi Varas to the test.
Sabadell's first opportunity after the break fell to Antonio Hidalgo, whose header was saved by Varas. Soon after, a shot from André Leão hit the post, in what was the best chance of the match for Joan Francesc 'Rubi' Ferrer's men.
Javi Varas delivered a stand-out performance, with a spectacular save in the 59th minute from a Manuel Gato shot. It was the player from Alicante who took a corner that Juanto Ortuño sent just wide. The good performances of the goalkeepers and a lack of accuracy meant that the scoreboard never budged and the match ended on 0-0.
