Nastic 1-0 Cadiz CF

The match between the team from Tarragona and the Andalusian outfit kicked off the action on Matchday 16 of LaLiga 1l2l3. The home side managed an important victory and their second on the trot at home. A goal by Ikechukwu Uche on 65 minutes secured them the three points.

CD Lugo 1-3 CD Tenerife

The game started in frenetic fashion, with two goals in the opening 10 minutes. Joselu put Lugo in the lead five minutes after the kick-off, but Suso levelled from the penalty spot just three minutes later. In the second half, Tenerife completed the comeback thanks to another goal by Suso and one by Aaron. Three massive points for the visitors put them in contention with the top spots.

UCAM Murcia CF 3-2 CD Numancia

UCAM got back to winning ways after four home games without a victory. It was no easy feat either. Pablo Valcarce put Numancia in the ascendency on 8 minutes before Jesus Imaz pegged them back in the 50th. Valcarce was on cue again to put the visitors back in front. However, UCAM kept fighting and were rewarded for their belief, hard work and sacrifice. Natalio Lorenzo (83') equalised and Jona secured three vital points for the home side three minutes from time.

AD Alcorcon 5-1 R. Oviedo

Los Alfareros doled out the drubbing of the day. The team managed by Julio Velazquez swept aside Oviedo. David Navarro netted the first of Alcorcon's five goals on 16 minutes. Daniel Toribio made it 2-0 before the break and then in the second half David Rodriguez, the team's top scorer, netted a brace to double their lead. Jonathan Pereira pulled one back for Oviedo, but Oscar Plano had the last laugh, making it 5-1 on 82 minutes.

R. Valladolid CF 0-0 UD Almeria

Paco Herrera's charges went for a third consecutive game without a win. Valladolid could only manage a draw against Almeria in a match which saw both sides reduced to 10 men. The visitors, meanwhile, failed to make it two wins in two after beating Elche CF last weekend.

R. Zaragoza 2-2 CF Reus

Two goals apiece meant that the points were shared in Zaragoza. Angel opened the scoring for the home side, but Reus kept themselves in the game and managed to reverse the deficit with a brace from their captain, Ramon Folch. At 2-1 down, the Aragonese outfit searched for an equaliser and found it three minutes before the final whistle through Dongou.

Elche CF 1-0 RCD Mallorca

Just a single goal separated the two sides as Elche ran out 1-0 winners at home to Mallorca. It was an evenly-matched affair until Guillermo backheeled the home side into a 68th-minute lead to seal the points and end Mallorca's run of five games without defeat.

SD Huesca 1-2 Girona FC

It took Nagore just four minutes to open the scoring for Huesca, only for Portu to level the score on 13 minutes. Borja Garcia's 30th-minute goal saw Pablo Machin's side take all three points, continue their recent run of good form and keep hold of second place in the LaLiga 1l2l3 table.

Sevilla Atletico 1-0 CD Mirandes

Mirandes enjoyed the better goalscoring opportunities during an evenly-matched first half at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, but they failed to make the most of them. However, Alejandro Pozo did take his chance when it came and his goal sealed the points to maintain his team's unbeaten home record.

Cordoba CF 1-3 Getafe CF

Getafe pulled off the second away win of the afternoon thanks to a good, solid performance and an impressive game from Jorge Molina, who scored one of the goals of the weekend and set up another which, with Nicolas Gorosito's opening goal, saw the visitors go 3-0 up with just 10 minutes left to play. Pedro Rios scored a late consolation goal as the game ended 3-1.
