Their batteries are recharged and they have the full force of the buzzing fans behind them. The various Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante teams are preparing for the 2014/15 season, where the ball will start to roll late in August, but clubs such as RC Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad de Fútbol, Valencia CF, Sevilla FC, Athletic Club, RCD Espanyol, Club Atlético de Madrid and AD Alcorcón have already begun their preparations.

In the Liga Adelante, the Madrid side was the first to get back to work, while RCD Mallorca, Real Betis Balompié and CD Numancia will do so next week in a bid to return to the top flight. All of them will be looking forward to the roar of the crowds as they play their preseason matches.

The same applies to Sevilla, Valencia and Atleti. Thousands of fans congregate every day around the training pitches of the Liga BBVA clubs to support their teams and welcome the newcomers. Despite the exit of Ivan Rakitić, Juan Bernat and Diego Costa, the signings of Denis Suárez, Rodrigo de Paul and Guilherme Siqueira have given them plenty to look forward to

The first out of the blocks were Athletic Club, Real Sociedad and the current champions, Club Atlético de Madrid, who started their preseasons in the first week of July, while the last team to return to work will be Córdoba CF, who have a break until 21 July after winning promotion to the Liga BBVA on 22 June.

There are also high expectations for FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF, and the newly promoted SD Eibar and RC Deportivo de La Coruña, who will greet their fans again on 14 July. They are faced with the challenge of improving on last year’s performances and demonstrating that they are capable of holding their own in the Spanish first division.
